A Pilated Woodpecker has taken a fancy to drumming on the top of our living room chimney. There is a damper on top of the opening that controls the amount of air going up or down the flue. He has discovered that it also acts as a terrific drum. His pounding echo's through the house in matting season and the only deterrent we have found so far is to light a small fire in the fireplace.
