When I first conceived this piece I had just visited a heavily logged area of Vancouver Island. Initially I was
going to paint tree stumps reflected in her eyes but as I finished the face and really looked into those eyes,
I found I didn't need to. Somehow the face said all I wanted to say, the look of accusation was already
there.
