The cougar truly is one of my favorite wild animals in B.C. and kittens are just ... kittens no matter what they grow into. The fact that Vancouver Island has a huge population of wild cats is frustrating to me because they are so very hard to spot. Considering the large numbers on the island we have few serious incidents of attacks. The few we do have are usually from an old animal, one that is cornered or has been hurt. I would rather face a cougar any day than a bear.
